So it’s recently come to my attention that I’m taller than 6’1”, because I’ve just surpassed my father in height. That makes me the tallest person in my family. Except I thought I was done growing like a year ago except apparently guys can grow until they’re 21 so I’ve got a bit of time yet guys help this is getting out of control?
Here’s the weird thing though. Like I’m taller than most people I meet, I guess, but I don’t feel like I am. I’ll pass by a guy and be like, “Man, he’s tall,” and the person with me will say, “Jake, you have at least three inches on him.”
Like there are times when I realize that the world was built for people with shorter legs than me, i.e. in the back seat of any car or in any given desk in a lecture hall or otherwise, but I just think, “I have long legs,” not, “I’m turning into a giant.”
